Description
About the course
Do you sometimes feel a bit stressed and frustrated with life? Does this affect your ability to enjoy things?
All of us have to face unwanted situations in our lives. It is very easy to react to these situations by feeling overwhelmed, stressed, upset or angry.
Buddha’s teachings give so much practical and timeless advice that enables us to learn how to stay calm and strong when things go wrong.
Not only can we learn to develop a more beneficial response to life’s challenges but we can actually learn to thrive within them.
On this course, Gen Kelsang Leksang will explain some practical, tried and tested techniques that will enable us to learn how to respond to difficult situations with a calm and positive mind.
The course will be based on the book ‘How to Solve our Human Problems’. This book is available to purchase for those who wish to study further at home.
If we were to respond to difficult situations with a positive or peaceful mind, they would not be problems for us, Problems arise only if we respond to difficulties with a negative state of mind. Therefore, if we want to be happy all the time and to be free from problems, we must develop and maintain a peaceful mind.
This 4 week meditation course will present fascinating insights, taught by Buddha that enable us to transform the way we respond to life.
We will learn how we can build within our mind special wisdom views that protect us from stress and unhappiness when things go wrong and enable us to become stronger through adversity.
On this course you will learn the following:
- How to protect your mind from anger, stress and frustration
- How to develop your inner peace
- How to become stronger through adversity.
- How to gradually transform your mind through meditation
The course will run in Birmingham City Centre on Sundays and Tuesdays as well as in Solihull on Mondays and Sutton Coldfield on Thursdays.
You can drop in week by week or book for the whole course.
